That's right, Reborn is finally here! In 4 different formats (if you don't know what any of those numbers mean, just stick to either 128 or 256).

Holy shit. I didn't think it would actually make it, I was starting to be plagued by technical errors again, and I freaked and paniced and swore and punched holes, but I finally got it done. I guess next time I wont set a release date until the cd is DONE.

But yes, anyways, there it is, take your pick of download. The songs will also be appearing on different websites over the next few days. So go out and enjoy! Tell friends, family, babies, animals, or even Dom Deluise!

Now that it's finally out for you to here, over the next while I will practice the set list and arrange things for the shows... but for now, please enjoy!

1 More day... unfortionatly

Okay, first off, I'm really sorry for this unexpected change in events. I'm trying to fix out one last problem with Reborn, and unfortionatly I wont have it ready until tomorrow, or early wednesday at the VERY latest. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused, I am working on this as fast as I can.

Again, I'm very sorry for the delay, I am working on it fast and hard, and it WILL be out within the next 24 - 48 hours, I promise.

I know, 3 posts is a little much, but today seems to be a day of activity I guess.

Anyways, I just over heard a broadcast on indie link radio that talked about Reborn coming out. To any one else who may have heard it, let me just make something clear...

A) There is NOT a CD Release party on the 23rd... I don;t know where he got that idea from, I had only said I am releasing a CD on the 23rd for free on the internet.

B) Of course by now you know the website is www.2517.mfbiz.com not www.2517mfbiz.com

C) He said "these guys" (or something), but of course you know it's just me on this act.

Some how, I knew this would happen...

Okay, so things are a little tense now. With only 3 days set until release, some of the final tests are starting to fail. Things aren't being encoded properly, and some songs are crackling after encoding. I'm working on this problem as fast as I can. Just know that if it can't be released monday, it WILL be released within 48 hours after that.

Fuck, this happened the last time I tried making a CD, why does it happen again? *sigh*... I'll keep trying to get things going.

New site... or just fixed.

I decided that I hated having multi pages up on the web site (www.2517.mfbiz.com) having to click one page to the next, so I decided to fix it up a bit. Now everything is conveniently located on the home page (after the entrance screen). There's a link to this blog, and also pictures, multimedia, and links to other 25:17 pages on the internet. It seems a little crowded, but I personally like this better than page to page navigation, especially seeing as I don't have a whole lot on the web site anyways.

So go on and check that out, hopefully you like it. I'll also be putting up a contact forum shortly.

AND don't forget, Reborn comes out in 3 days! Remember it's being released for free as Mp3s in several formats... so if you have low quality sound and minimal space on your computer, or high quality sound and gigs to spare, there will be something for you. On the day of the release with the formats , I will also tell you how much space the entire download will take.

6 Days = Final Testing

That's right. We're less than a week away from the release of Reborn. I've been excited about this for a long time, and the time is nearly here. At this exact moment, I am temporarily resting from a day of mixing/testing, and preparing every thing for monday. Since all the songs are practically done at this point, I am currently going over an idea for the set list and setting things up, and possibly doing a cover(?) (I haven't really decided on that yet).

Also, keep an ear out on Indie Link Radio, because they will be playing Amenance, Haunted, and Run as well as briefly talking about 25:17 and the upcoming release. Also, for all of you curious to what some of my old scrapped material sounds like, I suppose I'm nice enough to let you in on a hint... Rizing Bandz Radio still tends to play a song called "Interruption" off of "Infinity". So if you wanna hear that, go check out that site. It might not be there too much longer, but I guess we'll see.

It's Getting Closer

Yes, yes. Can you feel it? "Reborn" is merely 18 days away... that's 2 and a half weeks. as of this week I'm finishing up any last minute add ons (which aren't many), then I spend a while making sure everything has been mixed and mastered properly (or the best to my ability), then FINAL testing, and then it's all yours. It'll be in real low def to real hi def... So what ever fits for your computer/listening device, you'll have it.

AND THEN...

After the who-ha of releasing, I will be sorting shit out to figure out what I can do live and what needs to be done by the laptop live, and I'm also currently trying to learn how to use "Ableton". After I figured out what songs I wanna to play live, and sorting things out so I can do more than just sing live, I start rehearsing until I have it all down and good. Then after THAT... I try and get me some shows. Now I know it would probably be boring to stand there and watch one guy doing stuff on a lap top, and a bunch of instruments on his own. But I am trying to think of some interesting things to do to make it more good to watch, and possibly more interactive... like, have you ever heard of a Kaoss Pad? Ever wanted to try one out? I'll leve it at that for now.
